This RS485 to TTL Extender Receiver is used in conjunction with the AIOT RS485 sensors. This particular unit is one channel and connects to a single TX and RX pair on your MCU and is typically found in our Saturn control panels. Can also be purchased separately for those who wish to use it on their own equipment. This RS485 to TTL Extender Receiver will allow your sensors to be connect to your MCU using up to 2000 feet of Cat-5 wire with RJ45 connectors. Unit operates on 5 volts DC supplied by the MCU and supplies power to the sensors over the cat-5 cable.  As the module realizes the mutual conversion (auto flow) between TTL signal and RS485 signal, there is no need for the “receive – send” controls on dedicated single channels (i.e. single device per channel) .
